On November 2nd and 3rd, 2011, a group of Arizona based agents from Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz), including Denver Nowicz, traveled to Washington D.C. alongside Allianz President and CEO Gary C. Bhojwani to discuss crucial retirement-related public policy issues with the Arizona congressional delegation. The specific mission of the trip to Capitol Hill was to educate elected officials about the challenges facing retirees and the opportunities that guaranteed sources of lifetime income (annuities) provide.
This group of agents met with key staff members for each of the members of the Arizona congressional delegation and had in-person meetings with Representatives David Schweikert, Paul Gosar, and Benjamin Quayle. The agents asked the congressmen to support specific pieces of legislation that will help Americans become better educated about the need for guaranteed lifetime income and make annuities become more widely available.
These advocacy meetings build a dialogue around annuities and encourage our elected officials to recognize the steps Allianz financial professionals are taking to help constituents secure their retirement futures.
